Sacred Hearts Academy

Home of Lancer Robotics
On September 12, 1909, the Academy opened its doors and began a long tradition of education to make a difference in the world in which they live. At its opening, ten Sisters of the Sacred Hearts, who spearheaded the school, welcomed 53 female students. Since that time, thousands of girls, and even a few boys, have had the opportunity and privilege to experience an Academy education.
Over 100 years later, its history allows us to understand and reflect upon the Academy extraordinary foundation and enduring commitment to excellence that have sustained the Academy for a century. Just leafing through these pages is a wonderful reminder of how, through the decades, Sacred Hearts women have taken to heart the adage “to whom much is given, much is expected.”
Intelligent, strong, good-hearted women in all walks of life sustain the Academy‘s proud legacy. Alumnae reflect the strength and diversity of the school their life choices and contributions to make the world around them a better place.
The story of the Academy history reminds us of our debt to the past and our obligation to the future.
