The Mission of Sacred Hearts Academy is to educate young women to take responsibility for their lives, to contribute to the world around them and to value life long learning. Lancer Robotics expands upon the school's mission, encouraging young women to participate in the male dominated fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Much like the technology classes at the Academy, the principles of FIRST promote the use of theory, education, problem solving and communication skills ensuring students gain the confidence to pursue careers in STEM. Students also learned to apply the concepts of gracious professionalism and coopertition to many facets of life.
